Save the date! On November 21st from 9h to 13.30h, AMI2030 & EMIRI are organising a workshop on sustainable materials in San Sebastian (Spain).
During this workshop, specific case studies focusing on the circularity aspect of materials research and innovation will be presented. In the framework of the Spanish presidency of the European Council, Spanish regional actors from the Basque Country such as Tekniker, Tecnalia, Azterlan, CIDETEC, CIC energiGUNE and Naturklima will be invited to showcase their activities and projects in this field. This will all be linked with the work that has been conducted by the AMI2030 initiative, anticipating the IM4EU partnership. The safe and sustainable by design approach will be also covered together with a presentation of the IRISS network. The session will conclude with a panel discussion on how to improve sustainability in materials research, followed by a networking lunch.
The event will also count with an exhibition area open to all our stakeholder to showcase their projects & activities in the field of sustainable materials. If you are interested in exhibiting your activities, contact us at [email protected].
In the afternoon, the participants of the workshop will be also invited to join a lab tour of CIDETEC (covering the areas of energy storage, nanomedicine and surfaces) and TECNALIA. The visits are planned from 14.00h to 16.45h. The following day, on November 22nd, we are also offering the possibility to visit TEKNIKER’s facilities from 14:30 until 16:00.
